श्लोक 20

प्रशान्तेन्द्रिये नष्टसंज्ञे विचेष्टे

कफोद्गारिवक्त्रे भयोत्कम्पिगात्रे ।

प्रयाणोन्मुखे मय्यनाथे तदानीं

द्रुतं मे दयालो भवाग्रे गुहं त्वम् ॥२०॥

ப்ரசாந்தேந்த்ரியே நஷ்டஸம்க்ஞே விசேஷ்டே

கபோத்காரி வக்த்ரே பயோத்கம்பி காத்ரே

ப்ரயாணோன்முகே மய்யநாதே ததானீம்

த்ருதம் மே தயாளோ பவாக்ரே குஹத்வம் (20)

Verse 20

Prashaanthendriye, nashta sanjne, vicheshte,

Kaphodgaari vakthre, bhayaath kampi gaathre,

PrayaaNonmukhe, mayyanaathe thadhaneem,

Drutham may dayaalo bhavaagre guham thwam (20)

Meaning

When all my senses have calmed down, When I have lost my intelligence,

When I am not capable of any movement, When my throat is full of phlegm,

When my body is shivering due to fear, And when my soul is preparing to depart,

Without any one to help me, Oh Lord of mercy, please come fast,

For I want to be in thine presence, Lord Guha.
